Today's Announcements



    The deadline to sign up online for the AAK 1K Mini Marathon is April 20th. Use the following link to sign up: https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Potsdam/AAK1KandMiniMarathon.

    What is it? A fundraiser to benefit the B+ Foundation (children’s cancer support) and the NJHS. The walk/runs are a 1K and a 2.62m.

    When is it? April 24th at 10 am - Check in from 9-10 a.m.

    Where is it? Behind the AAK middle school on Stevie’s Trail.

    Check in: Behind the school near the parking area.

    How Much? $15 gets you registered and a T-shirt while they last!

    Awards: 3 awards per age group/division (medals and ribbons).

    Safety: Must wear masks until 12 ft apart during run.

    If you are interested in human rights-related affairs, taking action in the community, and spreading awareness on social issues, consider coming to one of two Amnesty International student chapter interest meetings! On April 13th, an in-person meeting will be held after school from 2:15 to 3:00 in Mr. Grant's room, Room 875. On April 14th, a virtual meeting will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., using the Google Classroom meet link, (to access this, please join the Classroom using the code is "dnqdbxt"). If you have any questions or would like more information, please reach out to Hala Obeid or Ella Hinckley.


    The following brief and anonymous survey will support research examining the effects the pandemic has had on mental health in teenagers (ages 13-19). If you have a few minutes to spare, your responses would be greatly appreciated!

    There will be an Agricultural Club meeting in Mrs. Hill's room on today at 2:15 pm. Topics to be discussed include: The field trip to AWR on April 22nd (this will include sign-up and permission slips), organizing a work party for the KOI pond landscaping project, and a bottle drive.


    There will be a GSA meeting on Thursday, April 15th, at 3:00 in Mr. Davis' room (736). You can also join in on the meeting virtually by using the classroom code jcfn2vi. Topics to be discussed are: GSA button distribution, shirt design selection, outdoor meetings, and officer elections.


    It's P2 time on Wednesday, April 14th at 3:00. This meeting will be held in Mr. Davis' room (736) or join them in the P2 virtual classroom by using the code ylyki6z. Club discussion will include: ordering club shirts for members, the P2 spring fling event, the P2 food market, and the test-week hospitality room in June. We also need to select the P2 staff and student people for the month of April.
