- After School Library
The after-school library will be closed today Wednesday, March 20th. It will be open tomorrow from 2:15-4:00 PM.
- Cops for Cures Basketball Game
Hello PCS! You are all invited to watch a basketball game with your PCS teachers against the New York State local police department. The event is called "Cops for Cures" and it will takes place on Thursday, March 21st, at 7:00 pm in the HS gym. There will be an admission charge as well as a snack bar and all proceeds will go to benefit the Jonathan Thompson Memorial Fund. Hope to see you there!
- Freshman Class
The Freshman class will help you think Spring in their next fundraising event that will start next week!
- June Regents
Any student interested in retaking a Regents Exam in June should sign up in Guidance by March 29th.
- Junior Guidance Deadlines
Junior 90+ scholarships are due in Guidance no later than April 1st.
Applications for next years Clarkson University classes are due in Guidance no later than April 1st.
- Pre-licensing Course
The next Pre-licensing Course will be held on March 26th and 27th from 7 - 9:30 both nights. To register, bring your valid permit and $40 to the Main Office by March 25th.
- Schedule Changes
There will be no school on Friday, March 22nd, due to staff development.
There will be additional staff development in the morning of Monday, March 25th, so we will start at 10:30 a.m with a short 4th period class and continue on with a regular afternoon schedule.
There will NOT be morning BOCES. Students who attend Seaway Tech in the morning do not need to be here until 11:30. Morning BOCES students who do arrive prior to 11:30 should report to the auditorium.
- St. Law. Cty 2019 Summer Youth Employment Program
Applications for the St. Lawrence County 2019 Summer Youth Program are available in Guidance and are due no later than April 23rd. Valid working cards are required. See Mrs. Richards in the Main Office if you need your working card.
Employment dates are July 10th - August 16th.
To be eligible you must be 14-24 and meet income guidelines.
- Study Hall Change
On Wednesday, March 20th, Mr. Davis' 4th period study hall will meet in the auditorium, not in the library.
- SUNY Canton Sports Mgmt Program Representative
Matt Metcalf from the SUNY Canton Sports Management program will be visiting Potsdam Central School on Monday, April 1st at 9 a.m. Mr. Metcalf will be giving a presentation about jobs in the sports management field, the many exiting hands on and applied learning activities the Sports Management program has to offer, and courses students will take in the program. If any students are interested in a career in sports, this is a terrific opportunity to learn more about the only Sports Management program in St. Lawrence County.
